Periodontal disease is a very common problem in cats and dogs, and abnormal wearing of teeth (malocclusion) is also common in rabbits and small mammals.
If you feel your pet might be suffering from a problem with its teeth please contact the practice to arrange an appointment. Symptoms which may indicate a dental problem are bad breath, salivating excessively or difficulty eating and/or inability to eat. Some animals can have quite severe dental disease and not show any sign of having a problem. During routine vaccinations and health checks, your pet’s teeth will be examined and we will discuss ways in which dental disease can be prevented in your pet.
We have the latest dental equipment to treat dental disease in small animals. Our nurses and receptionists can also advise you on dental care in your pet.
